PART TWO. EXPLORING.
Mark O’Neill
O’Neill is a British freelance graphic designer, often working in partnership with Studio Zur Strassen. Previously, O’Neill worked as a designer at Accept & Proceed, where his most well-known projects for Nike and Cannondale were created. His style is simplistic yet immersive, utilitarian and modernist, with functionality and sustainability at the forefront to form user-friendly solutions.
I found O’Neill through his work for Nike Fit-ADV, a meteorological graphic system supporting Nike’s advanced engineered apparel. The geometric forms and navigational motions attracted me to this project. Another project of O’Neill’s I like is The Private Fail Network, a research report investigating the failures of the UK’s privatised rail network, revealing the corruption, exploitation, and deception of the system. This project combines the research O’Neill gathered with publication and motion design in his signature style.
The works featured here include: Nike Fit-ADV, The Private Fail Network, Extantia, and Green Dot.
